Invitation: Global Forum on Cervical Cancer Prevention side session to Women Deliver meeting

In an effort to ensure that all women have access to the life-saving tools to prevent cervical cancer, a group of international partners will convene the Global Forum on Cervical Cancer Prevention. Held the day before the Women Deliver 2013 conference, on 27 May 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the meeting will aim to build broad support and awareness for comprehensive cervical cancer prevention.
The forum will bring together diverse public and private sector stakeholders to highlight best practices and early adopters, explore innovative financing mechanisms for the rollout of new technologies and programs, and discuss advocacy tools to galvanize momentum around cervical cancer prevention. It will emphasize vaccines, screening and treatment programs and focus on low- and middle-income countries.
Sessions will share strategies to implement successful programs and shift policy at the national, regional and global level. Topics covered will include: scaling up commitments to match global need; utilizing the media to catalyze prevention efforts; engaging the community at the grassroots level; integrating cervical cancer prevention into broader reproductive and global health agendas; regional challenges and opportunities; and increasing the uptake of HPV vaccines, screening and treatment tools and programs.
